Franklin Institute, Not Far From Meetinghouse: Where Science is Fun for Kids and Adults

March 26, 2015

The Franklin Institute is a popular kid-friendly museum, but adults find themselves having some fun, too. The hands-on science museum in Philadelphia features a variety of interactive exhibits as well as the Fels Planetarium.

Whether you have guests coming to town and want to show them around the city or simply are looking for a reason to get out of your Meetinghouse home, head to The Franklin Institute. Check out exhibits such as the giant heart, which allows kids to crawl inside and learn about the physiology of this organ. Make your way to Sir Isaac's Loft so the little ones can experiment with levers and pulleys. Don't forget to stop by the electricity exhibit, where the children can use their own bodies as electrical circuits. Before you leave the Franklin Institute, take in a show at the Fels Planetarium.
