It takes half a million lights to create the winter wonderland that is A Longwood Christmas, and the lights are just the beginning. The designers of this special exhibit at Longwood Garden take their cues from French garden architects, like those that dreamed up the opulent flora at Versailles. So they incorporate additional festive elements like glittering walnuts, apples, and cranberries, all floating in the pond, for A Longwood Christmas.

Come to the garden anytime before January 7th to experience the all-encompassing splendor of the decked-out gardens. Holiday tunes pump from the speakers, matched perfectly to the illuminated fountains as they spout streams of water. Groups of carolers roam around the garden, treating guests to live music. Seasonal wreaths and lavish topiaries serve as the final flourish for A Longwood Christmas. Reservations are required and tickets start at $20 for adults and $12 for children.
