You’ve probably never seen jack-o-lanterns quite like the creations at The Great Pumpkin Carve. This longstanding Chadds Ford tradition takes place every October at the Barn Visitors Center on Creek Road, usually a couple of weeks before Halloween. This year’s Great Pumpkin Carve will unfold on October 17th, 18th, and 19th.
The event kicks off on Thursday night when artists begin to carve more than 70 enormous pumpkins. You can come to visit anytime between 4 and 9 p.m. to watch them work. If you want to see the finished products, those will be on display around the pumpkin patch on Friday and Saturday night. Plus, The Great Pumpkin Carve promises other entertainment, such as the Haunted Trail, live music, and hayrides. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children.
