Usher In 2018 With New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Philly

December 20, 2017

Each year, fireworks explode across a stretch of sky above the Delaware River in Philly, their colorful explosions reflecting back at the city in the ebbing waves below. This year is no different. On Sunday, December 31st, the Sugarhouse Casino's New Year's Eve Fireworks will light up the sky not once, but twice.

The fireworks first crackle over Penn's Landing at 6 p.m. Take the Blue Line, grab an Uber, or walk from Old City, South Street, or Society Hill to the riverfront for the sparkly display. This early showtime allows some flexibility in your NYE schedule—whether you want to head to another party afterward or simply get to bed early. But for those truly dedicated to ringing in 2018 right, the repeat fireworks display at midnight actually unfolds as the calendar flips to a new year. Pick your show and come to join the crowds at Penn's Landing when NYE fireworks light up the night sky.
