Adventure Aquarium doesn't just boast the most sharks of any aquarium in the state. It's actually home to the biggest collection anywhere on the East Coast. The flocks of sharks glide through the waters around the aquarium's popular underwater tunnel. It stretches 40 feet long and gives guests plenty of chances to glimpse the menacing and majestic beasts up close and personal—but not too close.
The sharks are just a portion of the more than 8,500 species of aquatic wildlife that live at Adventure Aquarium, located not too far from Meetinghouse. You'll also encounter more cuddly creatures, like penguins, as well as sea turtles, jellyfish, stingrays, and fish. They all swim and wade in habitats created to mimic their homes in the wild, so the critters feel as comfortable as the kids watching them. Children can learn even more about sea creatures at the KidZone, which is chock full of games, hands-on exhibits, and activities for youngsters.
