From the spooky to the sophisticated, the Main Line and the entire Philly area boast their fair share of Halloween happenings this season. From the bustling streets of Midtown Village to the suddenly eerie countryside of Bucks County, this huge roundup of Halloween events spans the entire region—including our neck of the woods.
Only about 15 minutes away in Glen Mills, one of the Travel Channel’s scariest Halloween attractions in the country awaits. It’s the Bates Motel, a recreation of the legendary horror movie location. Not only has the motel itself been recreated in stunning detail (complete with professional actors to scare the daylights out of guests), there are also a haunted hayride, a haunted corn trail, and even “zombie” laser tag. If you’re looking for a more sophisticated way to celebrate Halloween, head to the Chaddsford Winery for some special tastings. On select dates this month, the local winery will have stations set up across the grounds serving locally sourced, Halloween-themed finger foods to go with your glass of wine.
