Tyler Arboretum was one of the first of its kind in the Northeast, dating back to the era of William Penn. Today, it boasts more than 650 acres of beautiful outdoor space, which encompasses everything from plant collections and native trees to wooded hiking trails and historic buildings.
Summer is the perfect time to come and explore the Tyler Arboretum, especially since it’s currently hosting a recurring summer event, Tyler on Tap. Every Friday night through August 23rd, the arboretum transforms into a “beerboretum” with the help of 2SP Brewing. They’re bringing the locally crafted suds to pour, along with lots of local food trucks that will be dishing out grub. Bring the kids along and check out the science-related tables at Tyler on Tap from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, but a $5 donation is suggested.
