Just across state lines, the cute town of Hockessin is planning an Independence Day bash you won’t want to miss. The Hockessin Fourth of July consists of a full-day festival, a patriotic parade, and, of course, a beautiful fireworks display. It’s all happening on Old Lancaster Pike this July 4th.
Show up early in the day to enjoy a few hours of exploring the festival, from the local food trucks dishing out gourmet food to the beer garden, where craft breweries will be serving up suds all day long. You can also enjoy live entertainment and games. Make sure you’re in place along Old Lancaster Pike for the parade at 3 p.m., which is always hosted by a noteworthy Grand Marshal. Then at dusk, spread out a blanket and enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks alongside the Hockessin community.
