If you’re tired of doing the same things this fall, then you need to check out the Longwood Gardens Chrysanthemum Festival in Kennett Square. Open now through November 20th, this unique festival display features over 17,000 chrysanthemums that have been taught through ancient techniques to grow in various shapes including balls, spirals, and columns. While you’re at the festival, don’t miss the Thousand Bloom Chrysanthemum. This plant is the biggest chrysanthemum at the event and comprises over 1500 flowers at once. Also on display are examples of each of the 13 different classifications of the flower.
The Chrysanthemum Festival takes place at Pennsylvania’s Conservatory on Kennett Square. There are six different exhibit areas, each one better than the last, so you won’t want to miss this truly unique event!
