If you haven’t made plans for Father’s Day yet, consider treating your dad to a special ride with all of his favorite kids. You can spend Father’s Day aboard the Wilmington & Western Railroad thanks to a pair of special rides slated for Sunday, June 16th, one at 12:30 and the other at 2:30 p.m.
Pack a picnic and climb onto the locomotive for a 90-minute round trip ride to the Mount Cuba Picnic Grove. You can sit in one of the standard cars and gaze out the window or upgrade your ticket to the open-air train car and drink in the fresh breezes as you chug along. Once you arrive at the picnic grove, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your meal and the scenery before climbing back on board for the trip home. Tickets are $15 for adults and $14 for seniors (but dads get half-price) and $13 for children.
