Located just five and a half miles from Meetinghouse Apartments, Bellevue State Park is a great escape to nature for residents of nearby communities. The park has been a meeting place and community asset to the state of Delaware since 1976.
There seems to be an endless amount of activities to do while spending an afternoon at Bellevue. Runners and walkers can enjoy the park’s trails and take a break at one of the many picnic areas for a bite to eat. There are eight clay tennis courts and even an equestrian center where indoor and outdoor horseback riding is available—guests have the option to take private riding lessons here as well. On sunny days, it’s not uncommon to see young couples and families having photo shoots done on the picturesque park grounds. The park is open every day of the year from 8:00 a.m. until sunset.
