Pop-up beer gardens are seemingly everywhere in Philly this summer, and one of the most popular is at Morgan’s Pier on Columbus Boulevard, a location that’s easily accessible from Meetinghouse. You’ll be happy you made the drive when you see everything this spot has to offer — craft beer, specialty cocktails, hammocks, picnic tables, live music, and food — all set against the backdrop of the Delaware River.

Speaking of food, each year a local prominent chef takes over the kitchen at Morgan’s Pier, and this year it’s “Top Chef” winner Nick Elmi, who also owns Laurel on East Passyunk Avenue. Expect an elevated dining experience in this casual setting with options like a grilled whole lobster, bacon cheeseburgers, smoked trout spread served with bagel chips, and roasted vegetable toast. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays.
